Interlocal Agreements

Partnerships Maximize Public Benefits

Benton Conservation District uses interlocal agreements (ILAs) to partner with other local public agencies to provide more efficient, less costly public service. RCW 39.34 permits a local government to enter into ILAs with other public agencies in the interest of cooperatively sharing resources for their mutual benefit, and RCW 89.08.341 specifically permits Conservation Districts to enter into ILAs.
