WHAT: Guided walks through Amon Basin Preserve
WHEN: Saturday, September 6th, 2025 | 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Guided Community Walks through the Amon Basin Preserve will start at 9:30am and run every 10-15 minutes until 11:00am.
WHERE: Amon Creek Elementary School, 18 Center Pkwy, Richland, WA 99352
Join Tapteal Greenway to explore the Amon Basin Preserve riparian community. Guided walks led by volunteers from the Columbia Basin WA Native Plant Society and Tapteal Greenway will take folks on a short loop through the Amon Basin preserve to learn about how native plants impact water quality and wildlife in the basin. We’ll learn about local flora and fauna including the resident beaver population and their impacts on the watershed.
There will be free parking at Amon Creek Elementary School.

Stop 3: Beaver Activity
The walk starts near the Tapteal Greenway booth in the parking lot of Amon Creek Elementary School.
Guided walks are about 1 hour long.
